Christopher Thibdeau
FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR
Christopher founded Boston MetroWest Strings in October 2024 to address the lack of accessible string education in his hometown of Ashland, Massachusetts. While working in the greater Boston area, he recognized the need for local programs in violin, viola, cello, and bass. In 2025, he met violinist Isabel Sorebo, whose passion for music and dedication to arts education aligned perfectly with his vision, helping bring Boston MetroWest Strings to life.

Isabel Sorebo
CO-FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Isabel joined Boston MetroWest Strings because she believes every child deserves the chance to experience the joy of music, no matter their background or resources. Through working with students from all walks of life, she has seen how learning an instrument can build confidence, spark creativity, and open up new possibilities. This nonprofit is her way of giving back, creating the kind of musical opportunities that meant so much to her.

Emily Laminack Wetzel
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Emily is excited to join Boston MetroWest Strings. A longtime friend and colleague of founder Christopher, she was drawn to his vision and eager to get involved. With over twenty years of teaching experience, including work with the UGA String Project and the Atlanta Music Project, Emily enjoys connecting with people through music at any level and believes it can inspire change in unexpected ways. She looks forward to supporting the many musical journeys ahead.
