Our Program
BMWS introduces young students to the world of string music through creative, engaging group instruction. Our beginner program welcomes children ages 5—8. Through games, movement, hand-on activities, and guided instruction, students begin learning the fundamentals of violin while developing listening skills, rhythm, and confidence.
No previous musical experience is required!
Foundations and Instrument Care
Students are introduced to the violin through hands-on activities and guided instruction, learning how to properly hold and care for their instrument with confidence.
Rhythm and Creativity
Through clapping, movement, and musical games, students explore rhythm while engaging in creative projects that help bring musical concepts to life.
Ensemble and Listening Skills
Students begin playing simple music together as a group while developing listening skills and musical awareness in a collaborative, supportive environment.

No. The program is designed for beginners and students who are new to string instruments.

We will provide more information about instruments once registration opens.

Yes. We ask that a parent or guardian remain in the room during class so they can assist their child if needed. Parents do not need to sit directly with their child, but being present helps support students as they learn new skills.

Classes are 40 minutes each.
